Audrey Blankenship of Sullivan, passed away Thursday, August 30, 2001 at the age of 80 years. Audrey was born March 12, 1921 to the late Harrison and Linta Hinch Isgriggs in rural Crawford County. She attended the Pleasant Ridge and Hinch Schools that were located near her home. In 1936 Audrey was married to John Richardson. On November 20, 1943 she was married to Ross Blankenship and they made their home in Sullivan. Audrey was employed for many years as a screw machinist at the former Paco Company in Washington, Missouri. In her free time Audrey enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing, and especially playing cards. She loved to cook and was known for her home made noodles and coleslaw. She attended church most recently at Cave Spring Baptist, along with members of her family. For several years she was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Arie #3781 of Sullivan. Audrey’s greatest joy in life came from spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she loved with all her heart. She is survived by two sons, Leroy Richardson and wife, Bonnie of St. Peters, Missouri, Larry Blankenship and wife, Becky of Sullivan, one daughter, Sandy Chappell of Fort Worth, Texas, one sister, Helen Mayberry of Sullivan, two half-brothers, Eugene Isgriggs and wife, Dean of Manchester, Missouri, Bill Isgriggs and wife, Shirley of Sullivan, two half-sisters, Rose Schmidt and husband, Bill of Sullivan, Ellen Virgin of Eldon, Missouri, one step-sister, Thelma Tanner of Bartow, Florida, thirteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Along with her parents and husband, Audrey was preceded in death by four sons, James Richardson, Bobby Blankenship and wife, Christine, Gary Blankenship, Ricky Blankenship and wife, Donna, one brother, Francis Isgriggs, one half- sister, Betty Tidwell, and one step-sister, Florence Douglas and one step-grandson, Brian Hulsey. Funeral services were conducted 4:00 p.m. Saturday, September 1, 2001 from the chapel of the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, with Pastor Gene Waterman officiating.
