Catherine, Andy and I were talking about the log cabin where Wm. Henry lived in Ala and I was referring to the house where his brother, my gggrandfather, Reuben Buck, raised his third family here in Polk County, TX. That house was lived in by Reuber, Mattie, and kids until their death, then my ggrandfather, John Henry, Mary Eliz and kids, my grandfather Wm. Arthur, and then his younger brother, Bennie Samuel until Uncle Ben passed away in 1989. Then a nephew bought it, moved it away and built a house on the land. Now he is very ill and his 2nd wife will inherit. The other house was sold, moved down the road and strangers live in it currently. That happened in 1990. I still go out to the land however, since it is only a couple of miles from the cemetary where most of them are buried.
