Saturday January 18, 2003 Vera Ann Baird Blankenship Vera Ann Baird Blankenship, 67, of Elk Valley TN passed away Sat. Jan 18, 2003, at Jellico Community Hospital. She was born April 19, 1935 at Elk Valley, TN and the daughter of the late Jennings & Tennie Gibson Baird. (beard) She worked at the dental office of Dr. Michael Nichols in LaFollette, (Jacksboro) TN and was a longtime member of First Baptist Church, Elk Valley, TN. Mrs. Blankenship is survived by her husband, Cannie Blankenship of Elk Valley, TN, sons, Dana Blankenship and wife Juanita, of Jellico. David Blankenship and Regina of Elk Valley, grandson Ryan Blankenship; granddaughters, Kea & Sarah Blankenship. Brothers, Brad Baird of Dalton Georgia, Gerald Baird of Chatsworth, GA; sister Betty Stanfill of Corinth, MS. Funeral services were held at 3:00 pm Tuesday, January 21, 2003 at First Baptist Church, Elk Valley, TN, with Rev. Earl Chapman officiating. Interment was in the Valley View Cemetery.
