    3. yes, I am familiar with that area. When Reuben first started coming to TX he came into Abileen with the cattle drives. Then he got his family and came down to Central Tx to Hill County. From there Reuben and family and his son, John H. and wife Mary E. came down to East TX for both farming and timber industry that gave everyone jobs. East TX is where they all lived until they died. However, much of the family stayed up around Hill County and Taylor County. I live in Livingston which is in Polk County. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Deborah Cariker" <saracara@charter.net> To: <BLANKENSHIP-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, February 07, 2003 10:57 AM Subject: Re: [BLANKENSHIP] Reuben Blankenship Al 1840 > Janet, > My grandfather, Marvin Alvin Blankenship settled in > Mineola, TX.
