    3. My information is that the GREEN is from Green County GA, as may of Reuben BLANKENSHIP's children were born there before continuing on to Shelby and Coosa County AL. Son of Reuben, John Buck was also married there in Cherokee Nation East to Milly Thompson before they moved to Shelby County bef 1840.     3. O.k. Don, Thanks for that info. That is my direct line you are speaking of and I had never heard anyone say where the Green came from. I just knew it was used often. Now I know. I had assumed it was just the old English custom of naming after the father, the mother, the father's brothers and etc. Remember what they say about assuming. Ha. Good to hear from you.
