    3. Sandy, who is we? And why have you decided that? From my family stories through my g grandmother Martha d/o Noah G. Blankenship, it was her grandmother that was Nancy. We knew we were related to the McComas' some way. They were distant cousins. In talking to an Elderly man that I am in the S.A.R. with, we started comparing notes. His gggg grandfather was General Elisha McComas. He married Annie French. Annie was the d/o of Mathew French and Sarah Payne and brother to Capt. John French m. Obedience Clay. John and Obedience had Nancy "Nance" Jane. Even though I don't have a paper trail, this and other stories cause me to support this. Why would anyone doubt it? The only real problem I have is what was Noah G. Blankenship's middle name. Was it Green, Greenberry, or Greenfield? The court house in Wayne Co. states that Green Blankenship died of a Ruptured Heart. He was known as Green and Greeny. 3. I forgot to add. I have my g grandparents marriage certificate. It gives the bride's name as Martha Blankenship d/o N.G.Blankenship and Elizabeth Armtrout. Soooo, no help with there with his middle name. My grandfather always knew his grandfather's name was Noah, but I never heard him say his middle name. I had not started genealogy on this line until after he died which was 33 years ago.
