I do hope they will be = of assistance. Obituary: 23 Nov 1983, Kansas City Times. CLIFTON D. BLANKENSHIP, 72, Edgerton in Platte County, died Tuesday = at St. Mary's Hospital. He was a lifelong area resident. Mr. Blankenship = worked for the Englander Mattress Co., Corn Products and Stanton = Enterprises, and had worked for McCall Service Stations. He was a = heavy-equipment operator and had worked for the Carl Sloan Construction = Co., Plattsburg, MO. He was amember of the Edgerton Christian Church. He = leaves his wife, Mrs. Maragret Blankenship of the home; three daughters, = Mrs. Barbara Guyer, Edgerton, and Mrs. Carol Pesch and Mrs. Sue Mesa of = Kansas City; two brothers, Roy Blankenship, Smithville, and J. B> = BLankenship, Edgerton; two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Lappine Kansas City, = and Mrs. Grace Johnson, Smithville; seven grandchildren; and eight = great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the = Hixson-Klein Chapel, Edherton; burial in the Ridgely Cemetery in Platte = County. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the chapel. Obituary: 13 Dec 1989, Kansas City Times. J. B. BLANKENSHIP, 79, Edgerton in Platte County, died Jan. 11, 1989, = at a hospital in Leavenworth. He was a lifelong Platte County Resident. = Mr. Blankenship farmed near Edgerton and also worked for the Davis Paint = Co., North Kansas City, for more than 25 years until he retired in 1974. = He was a member of the Purebred Angus Association and the Smithville = Masonic Lodge. His wife, Esther Denney Blankenship died in September = 1988. Survivors include a brother, Rpy Blankenship, Trimble, MO, and two = sisters, Grace Johnson, Smithville, and Elizabeth Lappine, Kansas City. = Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Hixson-Klein Chapel, = Edgerton; burial in the Ridgely Cemetery in Platte County. Friends may = call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the chapel. Obituary: 01 Nov 1990 ROY L. BLANKENSHIP, 86, Trimble, MO, died Nov. 6, 1990 at Trinity = Lutheran Hospital. He was born near Edgerton in Platte County and moved = to Trimble in 1987. Mr. Blankenship farmed in Platte County until he = retired in 1980. He formerly worked for the Davis Paint Co. and the = Platte County Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service. He = was a member of the Dearborn Saddle Club in Platte County. Survivors = include a sister, Elizabeth Lappine, North Kansas City; two = grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
