So far there are 4 of us that have been posting statistical info, photos and other Blankenship info. We will continue to do so. We are inviting any of you that would like to join us to contact us; Carrie Bias Hoffert hoffert@mindspring.com or Crystal Boggs cboggs@ncweb.com Let us know you want to join the Blankenship site and we will send the invitation to you. It is a password protected site, so you can post anything reasonable there to share with other Blankenship family members. You can post or build your personal family tree on the site and not have to worry that everything in it becomes general public knowledge. You can share photos, insights, family stories, lineage theories, join forces with others with the shared lineage, generally use the site in conjunction with this mail list for exchanging info and building a repository of info. Unlike most sites, every member can post information, so it is great for this purpose, we have 75MB of Memory, so the capacity is adequate as well. I belong to a number of these surname lists and I have to tell you that I have yet to see any other with the dialogue going back and forth that exists in the Blankenship List. So I thought that we all could use a family site as a natural extension of exchanging and storing information. Let either Crystal or me know if you are interested, we have responded and forwarded invitations to those of you that responded to the initial query about interest in creating such a site. BARBARA HASTINGS, the email address we had for you came back invalid when we tried to send your invitation, so please contact me again. Thanx, Carrie >> Hi All Researchers, I am back from the shock of my computer, (hehehe) my old computer was fried when a power surge hit the main tower and power supply back in Nov. I have been without a computer for about a month now. I am back now and on a new computer that the Tech tells me will be faster and better. That we shall see. I had a ton of mail in my mailbox when I signed back on to AOL, I have tried to read through most of it and get caught up. Maybe by the first of the year I will know what happened while I was away. I love the idea of the "Blankenship of America" website and I will have some information to send into to that site as soon as I get my Family Tree Maker Program back up and running. I did have all of the information on back up disks so I do not think I lost any of it. Besides if I did I know I can replace it quite easy through the Blankenship achieve. Sue B. Altice
