Hi All Researchers, I have just learned some interesting information about my line of Blankenship that I would like to share with the post. First: I had only a small amount of information on Arron Morgan Blankenship. All I have was that he left Franklin Co., for parts unknown. He had married Ruth Thompson, and the dates they were both born. I just found out the when Arron left Franklin Co. he when to Washington D.C. I am doing research in that area now to try to find out more about him. This would make sense to me since I have been told that during the time of Prohibition Arron made Apple Brandy and other spirits for the G-MEN, in Washington D.C. The G-men would go to the farm and oversee the process and take back with them all they wanted. I also found out the he loved to take pictures, most of the family pictures I have today are thought by the family to have been taken by Arron. Second: I had just learn that my grandmother was married twice. First to my grandfather Susie Myrtle Divers married Jessie Mose Blankenship 06 April 1918, in Bedford Co., Virginia. After Jessie Mose's died at the age of 50, he left Susie with 7 children and one on the way (Doc Buford). Susie did what she could do to raise the children and finally had to put them in the Odd Fellows Home in Lynchburg, Virginia. She worked as a nurse in Williamsburg, VA and would go to visit the children as much as she could. While in Williamsburg she meet and married Mr. Lee Crabtree, they were not married long. He treat grandma bad and wanted all of her money. They had no children from this marriage. THANK GOD. They got divorced and we had not hear from him since. Now if any of you want to add this information to you family tree databases you may. Please put Stella G. Rigney Blankenship and Sue Blankenship Altice as you source.
