    3. In my experience, you will not be able to automatically pull in any of the family names and relationship links from the RTF file, so you will have to type those in by hand. However, you don't have to retype all of the other information which you intend to put into the "Notes" field in FTW (like Wills, etc.) All you need to do for this is open the RTF file into Word or another Windows word processing program. Using your mouse, select all of the text you want to copy and then hit Ctrl-C (this is the Windows copy command)and then switch over to FTW and open the Notes page for the individual who you want to include the notes for and then hit Ctrl-V (this is the Windows paste function). All of the notes you just copied should now appear in the notes page in FTW. I hope this helps some! -----Original Message----- From: David South [mailto:dsouth@epix.net] Sent: Saturday, January 20, 2001 4:03 AM To: BLANKENSHIP-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [BLANKENSHIP] RE:{BLANKENSHIP] Family Tree Maker 7.5 help please Sue, I am not aware of anyway FTW can import a .rtf file. 3. This is a good idea, and I suggest that you run spell check before you copy and paste Thanks for writing, Sandy in Florida ***REPLY TO SandraG627@aol.com*** On Sat, 20 Jan 2001, Jeffery Lensman wrote: > In my experience, you will not be able to automatically pull in any of the > family names and relationship links from the RTF file, so you will have to > type those in by hand.
