My BLANKENSHIP line consists of following in Ky and some possibly in Va. Edward or Edmund BLANKENSHIP b Nov 1827 Ky or Va and may have had just one brother, James b abt 1819. Edmund mar abt 1850 to Mary Ann PRIEST b 1833 Ky. Edmund and Mary Ann had abt 7 children; Mary Ann b abt 1851 Ky, mar John Red Martin, had ch; Ida and Eschol MARTIN Joseph L BLANKENSHIP b abt 1855, mar Crissie MARTIN had ch: Lillian, Eldridge, Ova, Ivan Palestine b abt 1856-7 nothing more known about her. James "little Jim b 1859-61 mar Ambrosia LOCKARD, son Luther Missouri Belle b 7 July 1862 mar abt 1893 to Robert Lee CRUSE, had Alphonso, Coy and a girl stillborn Martha Ann b 31 Aug 1851 mar Wm A YATES, Female b 26 Feb 1852 (dates so close to above!). ++++++++++++= Edmund's wife, Mary died Jan 1863 and he remarried to Sarilda BOWLES and had ch; 1. No record of marriage to Mary Ann PRIEST or his death. William BLANKENSHIP was seen in the Hardin Co, Ky census in 1860 living not far from James and Edward. He may have been the father, no proof. William b 1790 OR 1765, or else there were two William BLANKENSHIPS. The Wm b 176 Va died abt 1870. In 1880 census, he was not shown and Sarah was in the census of Grayson Co, Ky with some children. Does anyone have some ideas or info on these?
