Sandy, if I remember correctly, from that book I was reading. Mary Smith was the daughter of Pochahontas and John Smith from England. Apparently, they were back and forth through the colonies...politicing. Also, I saw some of Lodewicks crew in the North Carolina records...you'll have to check it out, since I didn't save it. John Smith was in Virginia only a short time. He left because of injuries that he suffered and was crippled for life. He saw Pocohontas briefly when she went to England where she died while awaiting the outgoing tide and was buried at Gravesend. At the time that She supposedly saved him she was no older than 12 years old. She was no more than 13 when he left. They had no children.
