Hi Kathy & other Blankenship kin. I'm sorry for the belated reply. I have no record of these Blankenships. "Mine" drop from the sky into Dallas Co., MO, where they remain on and off through the Civil War and into the late 1800s. Then they can be found over in Jasper Co. for a couple of generations before moving to California in the 1940s. I'll keep an eye out for yours, Kathy. Hi Researchers, I THINK, I have found the connection between the Blankinship's in Mass. (Ann's family) and the Blankenship's in Henrico Co. Virginia, (Martha & Ralph's family) I think the connection is the Saunders. I am researching this angle to see what will turn up. I already know that Henry Saunders was in Mass (from the Trent/Saunders web page) and he is an ancestor of the Ursula A. Louisa Saunders that married John Jago Blankenship in Bedford Co., Virginia. I know that William & Mary Blankenship lived in Henrico Co., Va. and that William is an ancestor of John Jago Blankenship. William was the one that moved to Bedford Co. (with the Saunders I am thinking). Also you can see from the information below that ABIGAIL SAUNDERS the daughter of HENRY SAUNDERS and ANNE BATES, married CORNELIUS HANDY. I also know that the Charles Blankenship from Mass married Elizabeth Betty Bates. Now just to get all of these names to fit together in the right order.
