    1. Re: [BLANKENSHIP] Charles or Henry Blankenship
    2. Thanks D.H., Yes, this is the right Charles who married Missouri Jane Collins. Everything leads back to somewhere in Missouri. Was the "MO. pct. 4," you listed part of the MO. area, or the Johnston Co. census pct? I have searched many of the MO. census records, but can't seen to find Charles or his father Henry Blankenship. I can't seem to find the children of Henry, (son of Eli) and Mary Morgan either. Doesn't anyone have that info, Linda

Henry Blankenship (b. 11 Mar 1828) married Mary Morgan daughter of David Morgan, Sr. Confederate soldier Co. B, 4th Va. Regt.; Court Crier in 1850; Justice of the Peace. Son of Eli BlankenshipSr.,b. Montgomery Co., Va., Mar 5, 1780 d. 1849) Married Polly Smith (b. Smythe Co., Va., 1781-1883 age 102); settled on Cub Creek prior to 1824. Eli served with the Logan Wild Cats, as a Confederate soldier. Wyoming Co, Va. Henry's sib's; 1. Lucy Blankenship + Zachariah Toler 2. Claybourne Blankenship b. 1813) +Mary_______ 3. Jesse Blankenship (1822-1872) + Hannah Harvey (b. 1815) 4. Levi Blankenship (b. 1836) + Rachel Grimmet + ______ Claybourne 5. Maude Blankenship + George Hatfield s/o "Slater Jim" 6. Annie Blankenship + Henry Toler, s/o Zachariah Toler Hope this can help. D.H. ************* This is what I have on Eli Blankenship: Eli was not a confederate soldier with the Logan Wildcats. He died after the 1850 census and before the 1860 was taken. Lucy was his sister not his daughter. Lucy married Zachariah the same year that Eli and Mary married. Lucinda was only about 9-10 years younger than Eli. Jesse was married to Hannah ALLEN, not Hannah Harvey. Two different Hannah's, in the same area at the same time.
