    1. Re: [BLANKENSHIP] Blankenship, Jemima
    2. Well, Paul, I certainly know how you feel. I've been looking for my Jemima for over 35 years. I looked in my Blankenship file and didn't have a Thomas, but I will let you know if I find one. There seems to be so much information on the Blankenship's I just don't know why I can't tie into any of it. Helen in Idaho

    2. PAUL BLANKENSHIP
    3. Hi Helen, I see that you have Blankenships in Illinois. I am looking for Thomas J. Blankenship, who is my stone wall on my Blankenship tree. What little I know on him is that he was born in Illinois (from census records), He was married in Maury County, Tennessee in 1863 (have copy of license), and he disappeared off the face of the earth after 1866. I also know that there is a WHOLE LOT of Blankenships in Illinois during the period I am searching. I read everybody else's posting on their Blankenships in Virginia and England and think how lucky they are to be that far back. I have been stuck on this guy for about two years, with no idea how to get past him. I have even tried his wife's side of the family (Dodson). I have them traced back to 1607. At any rate, to make a long story longer, If you happen to come across anything in Illinois or Tennesse that might resemble Thomas, would you please drop me a line. I sure would like to get back to work on my Blankenship's, if I could get past this very frustrating grandparent. Thanks and have a really good day, Paul Blankenship

I don't have a John W with Alice as a spouse??? >> Kay, I have no idea who these people are. Mike, Tammy and I are working hard trying to piece the Blankenships together from Pitts, Franklin and Bedford Counties. This is just some information I found and wanted the post to use if they could. I will let you know if we find anything that will link any of these names to the line of Ralph and Martha. If anyone out there knows any of the people listed please let us know. I think I found the will for William Blankenship that married Elizabeth and is the father of Abraham Blankenship Sr. that married Susan Wyatt. I am sending for a copy of what I saw on the Library of Virginia website and will let you know what I receive from them. Maybe Gayle King Blankenship can help with this list of people. Sue B. Altice
