Hi, Pattie. I have in my files a Nancy Blankenship, b. ca. 1817, but I have her husband as being Pharoh Matthew Wright. They were married on 22 Apr 1838 in Campbell County, TN. She was a daughter of Archibald Blankenship, in the afore-mentioned e-mails, who--if he is the same Archibald--was in Lee County, VA in the 1830 and 1840 censuses. Hi, Lori. Whereas I have no definitive answer for you, I can tell you that the sources in my possession show no indication of a child named Tazwell/Tazewell in Arthur's household. As for this Archibald, this is apparently the son of Arthur, and has been stated as being the same Archibald as the one who later settled in the Capuchin Creek area, on the border of Campbell and Scott Counties, TN. This Archibald was my ancestor, and many of his descendants can be found on my website, located at: http://www.familytreemaker.com/users/c/a/r/John-C-Carter/ Once there, click on "Book: Links to John's Genealogy Reports," then on "Contents," then on "Register Report of Archibald Blankenship." There has, however, been some indication that there were TWO Archibald Blankenships in this period, and further research is needed to determine the differences. I do not have any other information as to Joseph's children. The other ten people mentioned in his will may not have been syblings of John and Elizabeth. The will was written in Chesterfield Co.,VA(1782). However, Elizabeth,b.1763) was married in Warren Co.(1780). I only have the information that was sent to me about the will being mentioned in Volume 4 of Southside Virginian and am not familiar with the publication.
