Dianne: You are luck that you have only been searching for Granville for one year. I've been searching for Rowland's parents/siblings for more than 13.Made two postings to the list just now and the information on Granville is not complete but I will send that to you direct a little later. Out of time now. Nolene
Dianne: Have been having trouble with my computer as well as my AOL program. Had updated to 6.0 but was having all kinds of problems and called AOL. The rep told me there were bugs in the first version to go to Keyword and type in Upgrade and that should fix it. I did that and it has taken DAYS to finish the upgrade. Just did so a few minutes ago. I kept getting cut off after just a few minutes and had to start all over. Hopefull I can type an e-mail now without being cut off in the middle. Decided the best way to share informtion on Granville with you and others is to post it on the Blankenship list. You can print it out and so can others who may feel they have a connection. Who knows? We may find another cousin that way. My brick wall for 13 years has been Granville's father, Rowland, born Va. 1786 according to census. NO ONE seems to know anything about his parents or siblings. We'll give this a try so watch for it. Probably will post in two ormore lists. If you have questions after you get them, let me know. Nolene
Dear D.H. Thank you so much for the info. I appreciate your being so kind. Sincerely, Dianne Vogt

I too, had listed LNU thinking it was a last name. Sorry I didn't understand your code. Now I do. When I do not know a name I just write ??? for the name. That is my "code" so that I can know if it is "??? Martin" or "Martin ???" Hope this doesn't confuse anyone. Thanks for your explanation. Willa

Found the location earlier posted on this site regarding Earlie Blankenship burial sites at: http://www.interment.net/data/us/mo/polk/greenwood/index.htm Called Cemetery Records Online. Do a search on the surname and given and it should show up or just click on that cemetery. No, Elijah lived for awhile as a widower with his daughter Jennie Eliza and her husband Elias Dye in Howell County, Missouri. Census shows Elijah born in Virginia and Jennie's mother *unknown* being born in Kentucky. I don't have anymore on them. Tough tree to trace...........No one around still living to give me any clues. Besides here, subscribe to Texas and Louisiana lists, and any other surnames that tie directly to those you are researching, County lists for any locations they possibly lived. More and more census records are online, search all of them by surname both with and without the given name....... Good luck! Terrie, do you by any chance have any other info for these graves, dates etc? it would be wonderful if you did or could give me a source for lookup so that I can put all the info into the Files in the Blankenship site so we have a permanent record of the info. Thanks a bunch. Carrie
Dorothy: I'm sure there are those that are more computer literate than I am but when I save my FTM files, I begin with the very first name in the file and it copies everything from there on. I save it to a "gedcom" file. Do it all at once. Much easier that way. Might also make a GeDCOM file as a double back up. make it of the entire file also.
