Hi John and All, I have not discovered who Nathaniel's wife was. Thought this might be a good opportunity to see if anyone has found record of her. Could it be that there was really only one generation of Joseph rather than two? I am going to VR on Monday and will see what there is on this line. Sherry ---------- From: John F. According to the family memo book published in the NEHGR v72p150, the Joseph who was born in Shutesbury on 1755 Oct 28 was the son of Nathaniel. This Joseph is the one who died in Acworth on 1847 Dec 26, aged 92, according to the same source and a death notice in the Exeter News-Letter. The children of Nathaniel were Rebecca, Isaac, Nathaniel, Rachel, Joseph, Sarah, Aaron, Lemuel, and Joanna, in that order. The same NEHGR article also gives proof that Nathaniel was the son of Thomas[3]<Samuel[2]<Thomas[1] from a pair of deeds conveying the farm in Roadtown (Shutesbury) from Thomas to Nathaniel. Is it possible that there were two Blanchards who settled in Shutesbury and had children with those names about the same time?
