    3. Hello to the Group. I have found a 'Certificate of Merit in Genealogy' made out to H. Percy Blanchard, the date seems to be Dec 29, 1938. It reads: 'In Recognition of Original Research and a meritous Contribution to the Archives of American Genealogy. Awarded by The Institute of American Genealogy, the National Clearing House for Genealogical Information, Chicago, Illinois.' The signature of the President is hard to make out, it appears to be F. A. Vickers(?) and the signature of the Secretary is M. R. Ferris. Would anyone know just what this institute was? Has it changed its' name to something else? Any info may be helpful to understand just what was involved, assumed to be his McCurdy research. Under 12" of new snow, digging the driveway as well as the past - Rannie.
