Jeremiah was born 6/1733 in Andover, MA to Joseph (Thomas, Samuel, Thomas) and Sarah (dau of Nathaniel Abbot of Andover) Blanchard, (Andover VR's) He married Dorothy SMITH 5/17/1759 and Susanna MARTIN 8/?/1772 (Andover VR's). Children born Andover to Jeremiah and Dorothy, (Andover VR's): Jeremiah 10/10/1759 Peter 8/12/1767 Eber 1/14/1769 Wilton History (pp 318-319) gives the following children stating the last five births are recorded in Wilton: Jeremiah 9/17/1761 Peter 8/12/1767 Eber 1/14/1769 Sarah 11/2/1774 Dolly, or Dorothy 11/2/1776 Judith 10/15/1778 Henry 3/30/1781 John 11/26/1782 Hannah 3/27/1785 William 2/10/1778 Aaron 7/20/1791 Sarah, Dolly, or Dorothy, Judith, Henry are all listed in the Andover VR for bp dates to Jeremiah only. The last four are not listed in Andover. Wilton History tells that Jeremiah and s Jeremiah served in the Rev War and the elder "served in the French and Indian war, was at the siege of Fort William Henry, taken prisoner and escaped." The father and Peter are said to have removed to Weston Vt where Jeremiah d 1/27/1826. William removed to Canton, NY.
