    3. Hi List Members - Laura and Tony Sidnell in Cornwall, England joined us on BLANCHARD-L recently. Laura has told me about a family Bible that contains vital records that she would like to share with the List. She has sent me photographs of the Bible (published in 1789) and several pages, photocopies of the pages on which the records were entered and transcripts for these entries and for some supplementary notes that were attached to pages of the Bible. I offered to organize these materials and report them to the List and I hope that I do so correctly. (?) represents an illegible entry or appears immediately after a questionable character and all lines are reproduced, more or less, as they appear. Elmore Reaman, through ILL and have prepared a summary of parts of this book that might be of interest to List members who are searching for the parents (origins) of Thomas Blanchard and Joseph Blanchard. Jean Pierre Blanchard has been proposed as the father of the emigrants Thomas and Joseph (as well as Peter and Jean/John who are said to have remained in England) and is rumored to have been the "Huguenot" connection that Reaman credits to Harry D. Blanchard of Toronto. If you are interested in seeing this summary, I will be happy to send it to your personal address as an attached file (ASCII Text). I could also send it via regular e-mail if you don't mind how it changes the formatting. By posting this message, Laura's Bible records will become a part of the BLANCHARD-L Archives so all Blanchard researchers can benefit from this information. For now, I will add an Index-Line for this message: Summary: Bible Records 1800/1900 Spennymoor, Hartlepool, Easington, Sunderland, etc., England 1998 10 15 Please share any comments on this message with the List or you may contact Laura personally at: Sidnelltony@email.msn.com Fletch
