Greetings: As a newbie I hope I am doing this right. I am from a branch of the Blanchard family in Ohio and Virginia. I have looked through the database and didn't find any connection at first glance, therefore I thought some of this information might be of use. I would also appreciate anyone responding to this email if they know of this branch of the family. My fathers name was Laverne Francis Blanchard (changed to Donale Laverne), born in Toledo Ohio, April 30, 1920. His father was Raymond Ignacious Blanchard, born April 20, 1899, Definace, Ohio. He had a brother named Francis (Speedy) Ezra Blanchard. Both my father and Speedy were pilots in the airforce. Speedy WWI, and my Dad WWII. My great grandfather was Gideon Blanchard married to Louise Boff (who I have quite a lot of family info on if anyone needs it), and my great-great Grandfather was Felix Ignacious Blanchard. I have no birth dates for either of them nor where they were born. My father was put in an orphanage when he was 8 years old, to be retrieved by a distant cousin who raised him, Eunice Blanchard from Norfolk Virginia. My father didn't keep in touch with the family and I have never met any of them. My father died in 1993 and I have a need to try and trace my family on his side. Any help would be appreciated.
