Hi, Vicki, and welcome to the list. I have your Joseph as the son of Joseph & Priscilla (Smith) Blanchard. He was born in Stoughton, MA, according to the vital records, one day later than you have. He married apparently in Mansfield, MA, though the Stoughton vitals also list the marriage (but on Nov 14). The marriage intention filed at Stoughton listed the bride as "Salome Welmon." Only one child was recorded in Mass. (Asa in 1775) before the family moved north (first to Colrain, according to Pat Curry, and then to Jamaica, VT, by 1785). I'd be interested in the data you have on the other children. > The Blancher family moved to > Leeds County, Ontario in 1800. Also interesting. There have been discussions in this group of two other Blanchards who moved there at that time: two brothers, Aaron and John, from the Andover branch. John Chandler I am wondering if Daniel may be part of this family, Does any one have any information on the Blanchards in Leeds? After they left Jamaica, VT in 1800? Daniel shows up in 1810 in Jamaca, VT , again. In Starksboro He leases land to The First CONGREGATIONAL Chruch, same church as the above baptism records. Well if any of you pros out there could take a look at this and send some ideas my way That would be great!!!!!! Thanks Jo Ann
