Many thanks to BLANCHARD-L. On 19 Nov 1998 I asked if anyone could help me find the burial place of Uncle Alexander LANDRY who died at age 32 in WWI. Within 5 days I had the following answer from a retired Army Commanding General who lives in Washington, DC and who obtained the following information from: Casualty & Memorial Affairs, Office of the Adjutant General, US Army Personnel command, 2461 Eisenhower Blve.m Alexandria, VA 22331. Private Alexander LANDRY is buried in the Meuse-Argonne Cemetery in France. He is in Grave #25; Row #4; Block F. That cemetery is about 29 miles from Verdun, France. I didn't think I would ever find that information, Alexander has been dead 80 years. Anyone else wanting similiar information should write directly to the address above for information. Hope this information will help someone else, happy hunting, Martha
