Can anyone help me find the burial place of Uncle Alexander LANDRY who died at age 32 in WWI? Alexander LANDRY was born 22 Oct 1886 in Caraquet, New Brunswick, Canada. Private Alexander LANDRY died with honor around 19 Oct 1918. He was with the American Army Corp. Company B, 309th Infantry Division 78. I have a picture showing his cross, in a cemetary, with the name, Alexander LANDRY, U.S.A. At the base of the cross is a number 930036. I also have the following three notes from Washington, which were sent to his sister, Miss Mary M. LANDRY, in Caraquet. A hand written note, dated June 11th 1919 by HARRIS, the Adj. General read as follows; Deeply regret to inform you that Private Alexander LANDRY infantry is officially reported as wounded and missing in action since October Twentieth. A note, dated June 12th. 1919, by P.C. HARRIS confirming that a cable received from the Commanding General American Expeditinary Forces, reads as folows: Private Alexander LANDRY, Company B. 309th Infantry now reported wounded in action October 20, 1918 and missing; no further information, investigation made to determine fate or whereabouts. A note, dated July 10, 1919, by HARRIS the Adj General reads, Private Alexander LANDY - Infantry previously reported wounded and missing in action since October Twentieth now reported died; date and cause of death to be determined. Thank you in advance for any help possible, Martha
