I joined Rootsweb and the BLANCHARD list last summer hoping to solve my BLANCHARD problem. I've been unable to find any connections in current or archived files, however, so I'm going to take the plunge. My 4 Gr Grandfather was Seth BLANCHARD, born ab 1778 in Massachusetts, married in Brookfield, MA, ca 3 Apr 1804, Lydia RICE, born 2 Feb 1778 in Sturbridge,MA. They were in Pompey, Onondaga Co., NY in 1810, and moved to Harmony, Chautauqua Co., NY by 1820. She died there Oct 1831. He died at Harmony in 1853. My 3 gr Grandmother was Seth and Lydia's daughter, Lorinda b. 1812, who married Myron BLY. I believe they had sons Caleb, William, and Charles. There may have been other children also. Any clues as to where Seth BLANCHARD came from in MA and who his parents were would be greatly appreciated. Do I have any cousins out there? Hoping to hear from you.
