I have been sitting back and reading all of your e-mails regarding Blanchard geneaology and have not been able to link my Blanchard to any yet. So I thought that I should put my "stuff" out there and see what shakes out. I am searching Blanchards from Rutland, Vermont. So far I have found from Census information the following: BLANCHARD, STILLMAN R. b. June 1847 married to Julona K. b. May 1850 in New York Son: SMITH B. born Dec 1883 in Minnesota Son: FRED L. born Dec 1898 in Rutland, Vermont I have also found a STILLMAN BLANCHARD born Jan 1813 born of BENJAMIN BLANCHARD and PATTY ROWE, who came from ABEL BLANCHARD of Peacham, Vermont. Since STILLMAN is an uncommon name, I think that STILLMAN (1847) is probably descended of STILLMAN (1813), but I have not made the connection yet. So you can see that I have some puzzle pieces but cannot put them together yet. There was also mention on a research CD of a STILLMAN BLANCHARD from Maine. Does anyone have any information on these unusual names, STILLMAN or SMITH?
