    3. David from Chicago: I have one Georges Augustin BLANCHARD from an LDS disk of Acadian BLANCHARDs that is unrelated so far to my BLANCHARD line. Bapt or b. 6 Sept 1811 in Truro, Colchester, NS, Son of Edouard & Jean ARCHIBALD, who had 11 children. Do you know who your g-g-grandfather’s (George BLANCHARD, b. 1824c), father was? - - - - - - - - - - - Kathi: Re: Charles BLANCHARD, age 53 & born in Canada (Fort Ann 1855 census). Do you know where in Canada he was born? Do you know if he was Acadian or British? Where is Clinton Co? Where is Fort Ann? I figure, Charles was b. 1802c (you say Canada) & m. 1827-1833 likely in VT, since first listed child, Margaret was born 1834c in VT. I have names of two Charles BLANCHARDs (unrelated at this time) from an LDS disk on Acadian BLANCHARDs. I have no other information on the following: Charles BLANCHARD, bapt 22 Dec 1809 in Truro, Colchester, NS. Son of Edouard (Edward) Sherbune BLANCHARD & Jean ARCHIBALD, who had 11 children. Charles Amand BLANCHARD, bapt 2 Nov 1827 in Pubico, Yarmouth, NS. Son of Jean BLANCHARD & Claire MUIS, they had 8 children. - - - - - - - I am researching, mostly, the Acadian BLANCHARDs of Caraquet, New Brunswick, Canada. They migrated or escaped there after the 1755 Deportation from Port Royal & other areas in Acadia (now Nova Scotia). Ancestral lineage goes to Guillaume BLANCHARD b. 1590c in Martaize, France who came to Acadia 1640c with wife Hughette POIRIER. Happy hunting, Martha from Calgary, Alberta.
