Martha, Thanks for your info. At this time, I too am stuck as to what my Charles Blanchard was-Acadian or British. I can tell you , however, that Clinton County is in northern NY state near the Canadian border and Fort Ann is in Washington County, NY on the bottom of Lake Champlain, I believe. That would have made travel easy. Any idea where to turn next?? Dave and I could use a break! Thanks, Kathi from MA
