The current issue of the New England Historical and Genealogical Registor (NEHGR) has an interesting article "A Genealogical Bibliography of Middlesex County, Massachusetts Testators', by Gary Boyd Roberts. The introduction states, "The following bibliography identifies the major printed sources covering the origins (if known), life, and immediate or agnate descendants (if any) of all 134 persons whose estates were probated in Middlesex County, Massachusetts, between October 1649 and December 1660". This is a summary of the recent NEHGS publication, 'Middlesex County: Records of Probate and Administration, October 1649 - December 1660" which contains full transcripts of these records. The sources cited for the article are given, followed by summaries for all 134 persons. Some of you may be interested in the following excerpt. 16.-17. Maybe this will be overlooked if I add that Mr. Rogers' 480 page book is available from NEHGS at $50 plus shipping. Thomas BLANCHARD, Sr,'s will has already been reported to the list and I imagine some of you have reviewed much of this material but perhaps there is something new here. I hope to be able to check this out on my next trip to a library with a complete collection of the NEHGR and perhaps some of the other sources. In the meantime, If anyone has a chance to do this, please report to the list. Fletch
