Wynnette, I am interested in learning more about Hiram Blanchard, b. c1837 in Clinton Co., NY, son of David Blanchard and Orpha Canfield. Is he the same as your Hiram? My great grandmother, Orpha Blanchard (she was the daughter of David Blanchard and his second wife, Lorain Perry, and named for David's first wife) was Hiram's half-sister. Am also interested in learning more about their siblings: born to David and Orpha - Marcello(?), b. 1820/25 in Bristol, VT; George, b. c1828 in Bristol, VT; and "Adeloner", b. c1830 in Bristol, VT; born to David and Lorain: Mary (aka Elizabeth M.?), b. c1846 in Clinton Co., NY; Rollin, b. c1849 in Clinton Co., NY; Stanton, b. June 1860 in NY; and Viola L., b. after 1860? The above info on David Blanchard, his two wives and nine children was given to me by Pat Blanchard Curry before her death. Rannie can be found at ai020@chebucto.ns.ca Just for interest, I have looked at all the Hiram Blanchards on my lists and I have the following.: Two Hiram Blanchards born to Jonathon Blanchard & Sarah Coggins/Goggins Hiram 1818-1819 & Hiram 1820-1874 (First Premier of Canada and Attorney General in the early years of Confederation of Canada) To William Sawers Blanchard & Jean Sherburne Whiddon Hiram Hedley 1875-1907 These were all in Nova Scotia. In Queensland Australia, dying in Tasmania, Australia, my children's grandfather, Hiram Roy (Roy) Blanchard 1907-1973 Born to Samuel Thomas (Tom) Blanchard & Phoebe Elizabeth Meredith.
