Hi, I just joined the Blanchard mailing list. I started by reading much of the archived material, and was happy to learn of the alternate spelling, Blanshard. That produced a few more results in my research. Below is my Blanchard family. Everything earlier than William Newton Blanchard, I obtained from fellow Blanchard e-mail list researcher, Pat Holloway, for which I am very grateful. However, there are many holes left to be filled. (Probably) Robert Blanchard 1630 Nansemond, VA Benjamin Blanchard 1660 and Catherine Nansemond, VA (Probably) Ephraim Blanchard 1685 and Isabel Chowan Co., NC (however, I just saw a record that stated he was a Quaker in VA and married there) (Possibly) Jesse Blanchard 1723 and Rachel Chowan Co., NC Josiah Blanchard 1757 and Millicent Turner Chowan Co., NC William Newton Blanchard 1812 and Sarah Elizabeth Hudson Gates Co., NC to Talladega Co., AL Sarah C. "Sallie" Blanchard 1863 and Willis Horton Freeman Talladega Co., AL Sarah Blanchard is my great grandmother.
