Hello All; I was born a Blanchard, but always thought we had no history. My grandpa's father died when he was 6 weeks old, & we were told there was no other family on his side. Recently, I've learned that was not the case. My grgrandfather's name was Samuel A. Blanchard & his story is a real mystery. I'm told he spent time in prison.....maybe why his family didn't keep in touch. I don't think they were aware of his 2 children even tho they lived in the same town, Dawson Springs,KY. I believe he is the oldest son of John William Young Blanchard of Indiana & Kentucky. Does anyone know anything about this family?
