Bonjour, I don't know anything else about the SAMUEL BLANCHARD I have come across in my research on the Oregon Trail, except that a man with this name was on the trail in 1851. This little company made the entire trip from Council Bluffs, Iowa to Oregon City in sixty-two days........” The article appears to be one that may have been extracted from the Silverton Appeal newspaper for Dec 1911.
