Hi fellow researchers; I am researching the descendants of Guillaume BLANCHARD b. 1590c in France who m. Huguette POIRIER. Guillaume does not appear in the Acadian census of 1671, he would have been in his 80's, & most likely already deceased or back in France. If he came to Acadia in 1635 or later he would have been in his mid 40's. So, 'MYTH' or not, his son Jean BLANCHARD b. 1611c had to have a father! A descendant, Fabian BLANCHARD b. 27 Aug 1822 in Caraquet, New Brunswick, Canada, m. Judith Doiron. They had two sons: Hyacinthe BLANCHARD b. 21 Mar 1848, he m. Odile THERIAULT Eugene BLANCHARD b. 11 Dec 1849, he m. Marie BLANCHARD. Is there anyone out there in 'cyberspace' researching the families of Hyacinthe or Eugene? Is so, would you please contact me? Most of Eugene's family ended up in Massachusetts after 1915, & now descendants are all over USA, only one grandson with his descendants is in Alberta, Canada. I have quite a bit of information but know of no one else researching these two persons. Martha
