Hi Sheila, Hope this finds you well. I've been fighting some awful virus now for 8 days and it's driving me nuts! Hey, I received some incredible information from Wallace Blanchard. He had a copy of the will for James Blanchard who was my Benjamin's father. The question I had about the census record where James' widow (Phebe) is living with Ephraim and Rhuprey Blanchard? According to the will, Ephraim is the son of James and Phebe. I don't know where your Peter came into or where he fits. I assume he fits somewhere. Anyway, the info I got from the will is that your other entry for David Blanchard (who married Azuba Heath) is the brother of James Blanchard. So, that ties those two lines together. The children of James and Phebe Blanchard (named in the will) are: Benjamin (the oldest) (b. abt. 1791) Daniel Susanna Ephraim (b. abt. 1799) Masey (daughter) Phebe (youngest daughter) James (youngest son) James Sr. died in Chazy Twp., Clinton County New York in 1817. He penned his will on the 20th of May and it was proven on the 21st of November. Unfortunately, there's no mention of when he actually died. There's a note that goes with it, however, written by Pat Curry who did extensive research on the Blanchard family, that does confirm that Phebe remarried to Josiah Folsom and he and she moved the family to Potton to join David (her brother-in-law) and the rest of the Blanchard family. They are found in 1825 in the census for Hemmingford, PQ with only 2 children still living at home. The rest had married and were settled mostly in Potton by then. You should see this will. The way James provided for his family was very impressive. He even noted specifically funds to be allocated for future education needs like tuition and such. It was really cool. Well, I better get some sleep now. Later! Regi
