Abraham/Abram LACKEY: I have seen a report of many of these details before, but with an important difference: the John born in 1763 was listed as son of Nehemiah. It's not from a reliable source, but it would certainly pay to check out the connections in the above line. E.g., find the wills of the elder John and/or his wife Eleanor -- did they mention a granddaughter Sophia? Is there any record of the marriage to Hannah Perrin? Does the John Blanchard of Farmington still have a wife Hannah? Are there probate records for John and/or Hannah in Michigan? And so on. The trouble is that John Blanchard is all too common a name.
