I noticed with interest Elizabeth Davis' message on her Blanchard -Gowen family and John Chandler's comments. I wonder about the inclusion of Nathaniel among the children of Samuel and Mary (Brown) Blanchard. Would not the same reasoning about "Phineas" and "Ahimaaz" apply here? Billerica V.R.s show Martha born 2 Aug. 1757 and Nathaniel (duplicate has Nathaneal) baptized 7 Aug. 1757. Hazen in his history lists "Martha (record of baptism says Nathan) b. 1757, Aug. 2." Is there a record of the baptism of Martha ? I have not seen a marriage or death record for this Nathaniel. Thanks for any clarification. jututtle@aol.com (John Tuttle)
