Hello, all- I recently contacted the County Historian of Clinton County, New York, a Mrs. Addie Shields and engaged her help in researching my great-great-grandfather, George Blanchard born c. 1824 in Clinton County. She sent me some rather interesting information. Although I doubt that any of the information I received pertains to my Blanchards perhaps some of it may be useful to someone else so I contribute it to the list. Please note that I received this material with misspellings, inconsistent spellings, etc. and I have preserved these here.
