    3. Hi all - BLANCHARD-L has reached another small milestone! The data file on the "DESCENDANTS OF [JOSEPH?] & ANN BLANCHARD", prepared by Pat Blanchard Curry of Richmond, CA, is now available for your use, as a web page. We owe a big 'Thank You' to John Chandler for the outstanding work he has done to convert the original WordStar file to a suitable HTML document. John has also added a very useful Name Index. Additional searching can be accomplished using the Find/Search/GoTo feature of your particular web browser. For now, you may access this file at: http://www.klink.net/~fab/josephb.html This is a temporary site and initially, the address is being announced <only to the BLANCHARD-L>. As soon as our request for a web account at RootsWeb has been granted, this file and the Index-Line Database will be transferred to our own BLANCHARD-L Web Page which will probably have a much wider exposure. Please consider the following points. The web page is large (470K) and may require a minute or more to load, depending on your system. The page must be fully loaded before you can search or scroll its contents. If you prefer, download the file to your computer and view it locally by using File - Open (File). This will improve the "load" time. These data that Pat has supplied represent her most complete information on these BLANCHARD lines at the present time. If you have questions about this material, perhaps a List member who is familiar with the names can assist you. Pat is not online so e-mail exchange with her is not possible. Feel free to use her postal address; she is always willing to exchange data. Please observe Pat's request that her document be "preserved in its entirety". An updated document may be prepared at some later date. In the meantime, this document with its publication date 1/98, should be maintained intact. When a BLANCHARD-L Web site is established, we will try to provide additional ways for visitors to intereact among themselves and with members of BLANCHARD-L. Pat is preparing additional BLANCHARD data to share with us. On behalf of BLANCHARD-L, I would like to thank Pat for her wonderful spirit of cooperation. Fletch
