The near-adjacent towns are Ashford, Stafford, Willington, Windham. NICHOLAS [1794- ], son of Abraham [George-2 Thomas-1], res Stafford, Willington & owned land in Ashford; was marr. by a Rev. J. FISK. A "MARCY" was marr. 1729 to a Wm FISK in Willington when Nicholas was living there. SAMUEL owned land & lived in Windham & Ashford. A study of deeds to date does not show any direct assoc. of these three families [except for the time-line], but CT researchers might find some in court rec., or deeds for other towns, etc. --Does anyone know when & where Samuel died; parents & VR for wife Mercy Richardson? Re BLANCHARD-CLARK associations in CT & PA: -In Ashford, CT Samuel Blancher [above] sold land to Benjamin Clark, of Ashford in 1769. -In early PA [Bradford Co. & vicinity] is a Benj. Clark ["from CT"] whose son-in-law was a DAVID BLANCHARD/BLANCHER who might have been "from CT". Can anyone provide further insight about these associations?
