Hello; I am Alfred William (Bill) Stillman, Jr. Stillman is not as uncommon as you propose - Mr. George Stillman immigrated from England in 1685 and has approximately 50,000 decendents at current estimate. I have undertaken to create a Stillman geneological page @ http://exo.com/~stillman/gen_list.htm I have a good start on the 1st three generations and have flowed some 25-30 branches down to today. I will research the Blanchard name and attempt to ascertain where the two cross - as I recall, the name appears in about the 3rd or 4th generation - which is about the time you mention in this web article.
