Hello Subsribers, I am searching for my great-great grandfather's parents. Pallatiah Blanchard was born abt. 1823. He served briefly in the Civil War. He was a farmer in Gates Co, NC . On his enlistment papers, it said his wife was deceased. Her name was Mary. They had a least 5 children. Pallatiah died an accidental death sometime in the 1860's . George Washington Blanchard was his son. He was born in Sept. of 1861. George married twice and had 18 children - - nine with each wife. His first wife's name was Eva S. Brown and his second wife's name was Martha Caroline (Cassie) Byrum. We are unable to locate Pallatiah's parents.
