I've seen a report that John died in Orwell, VT in 1803, and I can add two facts: the 1800 census does not show a John Blanchard in Clarendon, nor any Blanchard of that age group, but it does show a John Blanchard over 45 years old in Orwell. Two more facts: no Blanchards in Orwell at all in 1810, and in Clarendon a Caleb over 45 who seems to be the son of John.
