John Chandler is correct. I misinterpreted what I read on the first part of David Blackwell's page and did not read further to see the description of how the records were 'transcribed'. All pages of Bates were scanned and then processed, including the Indexes. You can view the original scanned image for a page by taking the "Image" link at the bottom of each page. Fletch
