The book on Massachusetts Soldiers & Sailors in the Revolution shows two different Lemuels who both responded to the alarm of Apr 19 and both lived in Stoughton, one for 2 days and one for 5 days. The first was in Peter Talbot's company, and the 2nd in William Briggs'. It could be either one of them. There are only two other items relating to Lemuels: a 3rd responder on Apr 19 (from Bedford), and a Lemuel from an unspecified place who served for a month in 1779 at New London. John
