This is my first inquiry to the Blanchard-L list. I am searching for information concerning the parents of my third great grandmother Barbara Blanchard. I am not sure if Blanchard is Barbara's maiden name or if she was previously married. I know of no reason though to think she was previously married. Barbara was probably born about 1770. About 1791 she married Samuel Ellis probably in Vermont or Maine. She and Samuel are possibly from the Woodstock, VT area but by 1807 Samuel was residing in Madison, ME. Barbara apparently died before 1807 because in that year Samuel remarried to Sarah Withee. Barbara and Samuel had the following children: Samuel, Barbara, Mary N., John (my ancestor), Freeborn, Sweet, Nancy, and Thimeon. Any help would be much appreciated.
