    2. Fletcher Blanchard
    3. Chris Arnold, in his message (/866) to the List on 12/12/98, inquired about Charles and Hannah (BLENCH) BROOKS and Robert and Elizabeth (HARKNESS) BLENCH. At the time, I had not seen the BLENCH surname in any messages. Among the BLANCHARD data sheets in Mr. Henry C. Richie's Papers that I reported in /892, there is a single sheet with information on several BLENCH/BLANCH/BLANCHE famililies. I will try to summarize the data here. There is no indication which form of the surname applies to any given name. Jesse m1. Elizabeth ROOT m2. Amelia son, Jesse Jr., b. 1843 England d. 1901 Burnt Hills, Sar, NY m. 1871 Martha H. TARRIER Charles b. 1846 C.W. draft 1846 in Galway Emma E. (1869-1871) dau. of Jesse? Some of the sources cited are: Town Vital, Church and C.W. Draft Records. Since two of these people were born in England at about the right time period, there is a <remote> chance that they may connect with the BLENCH names that Chris reported. Chris recently unsubbed from the List so I am also sending this to him. Fletch Index: Jesse [BLENCH] h/Martha H.
