Looking for first-hand accounts by or about Capt. William T. Blanchard, a Massachusetts native who was working for the railroad in northern Pennsylvania at the outbreak of the Civil War. He helped recruit what became Company I of the famous Pennsylvania Bucktail Regiment and became its captain until being shot through both legs at Harrisonburg, Virginia in June 1862.
