Hello, I am new to this list but I am hoping somebody may be able to help!! My nan was Florence Oakes (born in cannock England) her mum was Annie Horton (born 1903 Cannock, England). I have a copy of Annie's birth certificate which states mother Eliza Blakesley of Dudley. I found an Eliza born in 1873 which tallies but I cannot find my Eliza in the census records. I have ordered a birth certificate but its taking ages to come and I am not very patient!! Does anybody know my Eliza??? Thank you in hopeful advance!!! Gail Hurd
